A coaching practice with an AI-assisted spine
Skills
A coaching site and product built on a self-hosted CMS, with Claude wired in rather than bolted on.
A coaching practice sells judgement, which is the one thing a website usually cannot show. The problem was to build something that does more than describe the work: a site and a product in the same place, where the content model is close enough to the application that adding a new kind of page is an editorial decision rather than a deploy.
Built in Next.js on Payload CMS with Postgres, Lexical rich text, and S3-backed media, so the content model and the application are one codebase rather than a site plus a separate headless service. Page composition is block-based, which keeps new page types an editorial act instead of a deploy. The Anthropic SDK is integrated server-side, and Framer Motion carries the interaction detail.
The content model and the application are one codebase rather than a site plus a separate headless service, so a new page type costs an editor's afternoon instead of a release. Claude is wired in server-side as part of the product rather than bolted on as a chat box.
