A story collection that funds girls' education

The collection's home page
A global story collection about love, with a site built around the authors and every penny of proceeds routed to girls' education.
A multi-author anthology has a structural problem a normal book site doesn't: the draw is the writers, plural, and there are a lot of them. Lead with the book and the authors become a list; lead with the authors and the book disappears. The second problem was the promise. All proceeds go to CAMFED, and a promise like that is only worth the mechanism behind it, which is usually a person remembering to make a transfer.
I designed the site around the authors rather than around the jacket: each one gets a face, a biography and a reading, so the collection reads as a chorus. Media does the selling, with audio clips and authors reading their own stories aloud, and an early-supporters waitlist that unlocks extended readings rather than just collecting an address. AI carried the design and layout work, which is what made a site this author-heavy affordable to build at all. For the giving promise I set up Claude routines that fire a reminder each quarter when publisher payouts land, so moving the money to CAMFED is a prompted task on a schedule rather than something anyone has to remember.
The donation promise has a mechanism behind it instead of an intention, which is the part that usually quietly fails in the second year. Using AI for the design and layout is also the reason the budget stretched to a site with a profile and a reading for every contributor, rather than a single page with a buy button.
