An accessible, bilingual rebuild
Skills
A law firm's WordPress site rebuilt on Sanity, aligned to accessibility standards and shipped in both English and Spanish.
A law firm's website carries more risk than most. It has to be reachable by people using a screen reader or a keyboard, and for this firm's clients it had to be readable in Spanish as well as English. The site it had was on WordPress, where accessibility depended on whichever theme and plugins happened to be installed, and a second language meant either paying for every page to be translated or not offering one at all.
I rebuilt the site on Sanity, which made both problems structural rather than ongoing. Accessibility stopped being a property of a theme and became a property of the markup, checked once and held. Translation stopped being a per-page purchase: the content model carries both languages, and the first pass of Spanish was produced with AI and then reviewed, so the cost fell to review time rather than full translation.
The firm got a site that is accessible by construction and bilingual without a recurring translation bill, and a CMS its own people can edit without a developer. Using AI for the first translation pass is what made the Spanish version affordable enough to happen.
